Carl A. Harper, Jr. brings more than four decades of investigative and law enforcement experience to his work as a MUFON Field Investigator. A retired Police Chief, County Sheriff's Sergeant, private detective, emergency manager, and crime scene specialist, Carl has spent his career examining evidence, interviewing witnesses, and separating fact from speculation.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command, Carl served five tours in Southeast Asia before continuing his public service in law enforcement and emergency management. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri Crime Scene Specialist Course and has received advanced training in emergency management and FBI hostage negotiation.

Today, Carl serves as Chief Investigator for Missouri MUFON, where he investigates reports of unexplained aerial phenomena using objective investigative methods, forensic analysis, witness interviews, and photographic evidence. His presentations offer a behind-the-scenes look at actual MUFON cases, investigative techniques, and the challenges of distinguishing conventional explanations from genuinely unexplained events.
